| Early morning, an old German
man was complaining about all the "skleeming and
yelling" from last night's party. |
Mike achieved a new record.
Kyle returned to the bus at 9:03 and told us he just told him
to wake up, and Mike made it to the bus at 9:06. |
| Kyle told us that Contiki
likes its hotels, hotel guests need to sleep, and our driver
needs to sleep. No more room-to-room parties. Then he
introduced us to our wakeup
music. |
Long bus ride. Gals read FHM
("For Him Magazine") and guys read Glamour.
Had debates and interrogations on veracity of the articles.
Magazines also had articles about guy with a hole in his head,
urine curing baldness, etc. |
| Rest stop: thought of paying
0.50 Euros to use restroom did not intrigue us. |
On bus, Kyle told us to go up
front, use mic, and tell two truths and one life. Applauses
after graduations. Shock at the origin of Aaron's name and his
dad. Heard stuff about tattoos. |
| Arrived at Rhine River for a
cruise. 'Antiquis' fought us for the 'good spots.' |

|
 |
Saw many castles, where way
back when, boats had to pay taxes to castles, else be blown
away. |
| Saw the unimpressive Lorelei
rock. Lorelei used to sing, like mythical Sirens, and sailors
crashed boat. |

|
 |
Arrived at St. Goar. Hotel
had no elevator. Saw largest teddy bear (very dirty).
Many of us almost got run over by
speeding cars on the street corner where this bear was.
|
| Saw shop with largest beer
stein and learned about how they were made. |

|
 |
Gathered around to see
world's largest cuckoo clock go off just before 5:00pm. With
all the hype, one would expect to see fireworks and
explosions. See
the video here. All I can say is, "Where's the friggin' cuckoo?" |
| Went up to see castle.
Afterward, Eugene took us to the top of the valley, as we
looked at neighborhood. |

|
| Arrived back at hotel in time
for dinner of salty soup, dried pork, oily potatoes, peas,
carrots, and ice cream cake. Checked e-mail for 4 minutes at
0.50 Euros. |
Went wine tasting afterward.
