| I designed this site to preserve
the memory of the experience. The journal is written from my
perspective, which means the events according to my memory do not
necessarily reflects those of others on the tour or Contiki's.
The Contiki logo and references to Contiki are
strictly that: references to the tour we joined. This site is in no
way affiliated with the management or operations of Contiki.
Everything in this site is independent of Contiki.
The many graphics (non-photo) and music files
have been gathered from the public Internet. The scanned pictures
are taken from the trip, which is also available to the general
public. If for some reason the item is yours and you are not happy
with its presentation, please e-mail
me and proper references will be made. This site generates no
income (actually, it's a loss), so for those money hungry legal
people out there, sorry.
The digital photos on this site have been
reduced by more than 60%, which means they are all of reduced
quality and resolution. This was done to minimize web page load
times to the end users. Full versions are available on CD. Please
click on the CD tab on the main web page for more information. (If
this edition is on CD, you can access the full versions from the CD
tab.)
Some of the contents of this site may be
proprietary. For example, what our tour manager Kyle said or did may
be something unique to him or Contiki (i.e. his jokes, quizzes,
sense of humor, or spiels). This means that if you are a competing
tour operator, you may not use it. I cannot give you permission to
use it. You must go through Contiki.
This site is strictly an "electronic memory book" for the
travelers that were on their tour.
Just about the only things that are mine and
that I may have rights to are:
- The web site (so don't link to any of the
images, designs, or graphics for purposes of saving yourself web
space; you can, however, bookmark or link to the site so that
you or others may enjoy it in its entirety)
- The digital photographs and movies (unless
otherwise specified; if you use these, please let me know; I
generally won't say no)
- The web design (although it's not the most
creative thing on earth)
This site is best experienced with speakers, a
fast Internet connection (or CD), and the latest versions of
Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, and Windows Media Player.
Thanks for reading all this legal mumbo jumbo!
I put it in so that my fellow travelers can enjoy this for years to
come without fears that it may disappear. I hope you enjoy the site.
